IT Technician / Computer Hardware Engineer

Looking for someone enthusiastic about IT and computers who enjoys configuring, repairing and solving technical faults, to work for a business based in Cardiff who specialise in IT systems in shops.

This role is available for immediate start. Would suit a junior / trainee level person.

The work is to take new and refurbished PC’s, and EPOS equipment and prepare them for redeployment to clients specs. This is done by installing a standard image on each computer and resolving any technical issues that occur to ensure a successful set up.

Training on this will be offered to technically minded individuals.

Applicants for this role must be flexible to undertake tasks including cleaning equipment, stock / stores, as well as the technical fault diagnosis, staging and repair work.

Specific product training will be given to suitably qualified applicants how to test, configure and upgrade firmware and OS and then create software images to client's standard builds.

Full time PAYE contract role, starting on National Minimum Wage, £11.44 p/h, 37.5 hours per week, £22308 per annum, plus overtime potential and paid holidays.

You will start on a 3 month FTC contract.

Standard hours 08:30 - 16:30 Mon - Fri.
