We are pleased to be supporting this successful business based in Cardiff in helping them recruit an experienced HR systems professional. This business has been described by employees as a friendly and inclusive place to work with a happy and healthy culture.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner as the new HR Systems Lead you will have experience in the implementation and upkeep of a workforce management system. You will enjoy building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and be a confident communicator.

You will provide advice and guidance to project delivery and operational colleagues and look to diagnose and address potentially complex system delivery issues bringing these to full resolution, with the support of your HR colleagues.

The job

  • Oversee the end-to-end final phase of the implementation of the new workforce system
  • Work effectively with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and third-party vendors to ensure a seamless transition to the new system
  • Oversee the data cleanse process to ensure accurate and reliable data migration.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Track key project metrics, benefits, budgets, risks and highlight variances and trends to manage and control project progress
  • Provide advice and subject matter expertise, so that projects are delivered in accordance with standard techniques and best practice.
  • Plan and carry out regular project quality reviews to identify, assess and take action to mitigate risks to project success.
  • Deliver training to ensure programme stays on track and that full system capability is utilised.
  • Undertake ad-hoc HR projects as directed.

The person specification

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with Workforce Management Systems
  • Good understanding of general HR practices and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 to include Word, Excel and Teams
  • Experience of supporting system users
  • Ability to evidence a high level of accuracy
  • Experience of administering and supporting technical systems
  • Experience of working independently as well as in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain a calm approach and be flexible to the demands of the role
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with others (e.g. colleagues, professional bodies and key stakeholders)
  • Good interpersonal skills including observation, listening skills and ability to show empathy towards others
  • Experience of working to KPIs and SLAs
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing priorities.
