Salary: Up To £67,122

Location: Cardiff (x2 day per week)

Role Overview:

You will lead the use of Microsoft platforms and solutions within the organization, ensuring alignment with business needs and future growth. Your responsibilities will include identifying industry best practices for Microsoft technologies, overseeing the application architecture, and keeping up-to-date with technological advancements and emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and integration of Microsoft platforms and solutions across internal teams and business departments.
  • Ensure the investment in Microsoft technologies aligns with future business requirements and service delivery demands.
  • Design and implement best practices for Microsoft architecture and solutions, with a focus on the water utility sector.
  • Stay informed about updates to Microsoft technologies and industry trends, working with vendors to evaluate new applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide consultancy and technical solutions that meet business needs.

Internal Stakeholders:

  • Collaboration Centre leads, Technical delivery leads, Product owners, Test Leads, Test automation engineers
  • Business Analysts, Lead Developers, Solution Specialists, Application Analysts
  • Business change and training teams
  • ITS Service Team, Cyber Security Team, Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

External Stakeholders:

  • Utility companies, vendors, suppliers, and delivery partners

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Solution Architecture with Microsoft platforms, ideally in a comparable industry or sector.
  • Expertise in advising on business solutions that align with architectural requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Systems Architecture and emerging technology trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners, colleagues, and third parties to develop and deliver technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of new and emerging Microsoft technologies and industry best practices.
