Our client, a national Technology leader, are looking to recruit an IT Build Technician to join them on a temporary basis in Cardiff.

This role would suit someone with a good understanding of IT, computers, hardware and software, and someone who likes building hardware kits, very hands on and can work at a fast pace.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building, configuring and staging of IT systems (PC's/Network equipment/servers/cameras/tablets/hand-held devices) to ensure full functionality before deployment to customer project site.
  • Supporting with software and firmware upgrades/downgrades (including routers, firewalls, and switches)
  • Supporting with picking, packing, and dispatch of equipment to customer project sites.

What you'll need:

  • Strong experience in IT / Computer systems including hardware & software.
  • Great customer experience and ability to communicate positively.
  • Positive, solutions focused approach to work tasks.
  • Manually dextrous.
  • Good understanding of health & safety in a work environment.
  • Able to drive with access to own transport essential due to location.
