Role: IT Technician

Salary: £25,000+ per annum

Location: Onsite 5 days in the Cardiff office

Sadler Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading city centre-based organisation in Cardiff, looking to hire an on-site IT Technician.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to work in the IT Department as an entry-level (1st level) Technician. This role is an exciting opportunity to provide support and help develop the service desk function, infrastructure, reports, and associated setup at several sites across South Wales. This includes networking, telecommunications, Intune, Entra, Azure, Servers, and Active Directory.

The IT Technician will report to the Head of IT, and this person has a proven track record in training and skills development. This role will be a combination of 1st-level and 2nd-level support with the opportunity to advance your skills quickly and work across the full spectrum of IT.

Essential skills

  • Full UK driver's license and access to a car for travelling to other sites throughout the week.
  • Understanding of infrastructure setups.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Office 365, Azure, Entra and Active Directory.
  • Experience in helping with the analysis, set-up and implementation of IT infrastructure and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) and networks.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and hard working.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an ICT Service Desk or IT Support role.
