Senior Planning Consultant - Cardiff

Are you a highly motivated and experienced Senior Planning Consultant looking to make your mark in a dynamic and growing team? Penguin Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading global consultancy who are seeking a talented individual to join their Cardiff office working on a broad spectrum of projects across the built environment, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.

Role Overview:

You will take a lead role in providing planning advice and managing a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and environmental. You will be responsible for preparing planning applications, managing relationships with key stakeholders, conducting site assessments, and providing strategic planning advice to clients.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, with a relevant planning qualification (e.g., MRTPI).
  • Significant experience in a planning consultancy, local authority, or related field.
  • A strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy, and practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Experience in mentoring or managing junior staff is desirable.
