Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of the UK's leading planning and development consultancies in their hire of a dynamic and enthusiastic Graduate Town Planner to their Cardiff based team!


As the successful candidate, you'll be working on a diverse range of exciting projects. You'll play a key role in preparing planning applications, conducting research, and collaborating with our talented teams. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Conducting research and analysis to help shape planning strategies.
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
  • Writing reports, presentations, and other essential documents.
  • Working alongside a variety of specialists to find creative, integrated solutions to complex planning challenges.

Candidate Requirements:
We are seeking an ambitious Graduate who is eager to develop their career in planning and is ready to get stuck into exciting projects. You should have:

  • A degree in Town Planning (or a related field).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • A genuine interest in planning and development, and a passion for making a difference in the communities we work in.
  • Previous experience in a Planning role beneficial.
