Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in Town Planning?

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established planning consultancy, who are looking for a Graduate Town Planner to join their Cardiff office.

About the Role

As a Graduate Town Planner at, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will support senior planners in preparing planning applications, conducting research, engaging with clients and local authorities, and contributing to strategic planning projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Conducting research and site assessments to support planning projects.
  • Engaging with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Preparing planning statements and reports.
  • Supporting senior team members on project delivery and client management.

About You

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related subject (RTPI accredited preferred).
  • Experience in Town Planning
  • A strong interest in UK planning policy and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
