My client, an independent national Planning Consultancy with offices across the UK, including Cardiff and Exeter, is looking for a Chartered Senior Town Planner to join the team. They specialise in a wide range of planning sectors, offering services that include site promotions, strategic planning, and planning applications across sectors such as residential, commercial, heritage, and renewable energy.

The Position as a Senior Town Planner

The position as a Senior Town Planner is for a proactive individual. The successful candidate will have a full membership with the RTPI. As a Senior Town Planner, you will be meaningfully engaged in a variety of projects and be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, as well as being a mentor to more junior staff.

Essential Criteria for the candidate as a Senior Town Planner

Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
Chartered membership or eligibility with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Several years of experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy or local authority environment.
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, regulations, and policy frameworks.
Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills..
