My client, an established and growing consultancy, is seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Town Planner to join their team in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in high-profile UK-wide projects, including a range of energy, town centre regeneration, and residential developments. The company is currently working on the biggest Welsh application with Tata Steel, making it a thrilling time to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on a variety of local projects and actively support the delivery of major national schemes.
  • Provide commercial advice to clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Contribute to business development opportunities and grow the company's presence in local markets.
  • Be an integral part of the planning team, developing technical skills while managing a diverse range of projects.

About You:

  • MRTPI qualification is essential. If you are not yet chartered, this position may be more suited to a Planner-level role.
  • You will have experience in providing concise, commercial planning advice and will be confident in engaging with clients and other stakeholders.
  • A commercial mindset and willingness to work towards chartership if coming from a Local Authority background will also be considered.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to project delivery are key.
