On behalf of our client, Zest are seeking a skilled and dedicated Criminal Solicitor to join their highly regarded Criminal Department. This specialist team is known for its expertise in handling a wide range of criminal cases, from serious crimes to day-to-day legal matters.

About the Firm

The firm’s Criminal Department is led by two experienced directors and supported by a talented team of solicitors, trainee solicitors, and police station representatives. Together, they provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients facing a variety of criminal offences, including:

  • Serious Crimes: Murder, sexual offences, grievous bodily harm (GBH), and actual bodily harm (ABH)
  • Property Crimes: Burglary, theft, shoplifting, and criminal damage
  • Fraud and Financial Crimes: Serious fraud and related offences
  • Drug Offences: Drug possession, trafficking, and related charges
  • Public Order and Violent Crimes: Violent disorder, affray, and public order offences
  • Traffic Offences: Driving under the influence, road traffic violations, and more

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join a close-knit and supportive team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising and representing clients across a diverse caseload of criminal matters
  • Preparing and presenting cases in court, while liaising effectively with clients, law enforcement, and other legal professionals
  • Supporting the development of junior team members, including trainee solicitors and police station representatives
  • Ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and client care

  • Qualification as a solicitor with expertise in criminal law

  • Ideally be Police Station accredited
