Our client, a leading organisation in Cardiff, is seeking a dynamic Associate/Senior Associate to join their Employment and HR Services team. With a varied caseload and opportunities to advise both employers and individuals, this role offers the chance to make a real impact. Our client's Employment Law team is known for their expertise in a wide range of employment law matters. They provide comprehensive advice to employers, handle corporate and commercial support, conduct employment tribunal litigation, and offer guidance to individuals on various issues. Their approach goes beyond legal advice, ensuring a deep understanding of the impact decisions can have on businesses. As an Employment Solicitor at our client's organisation, you'll play a vital role in their commitment to exceptional service.

The Role:

As an Associate/Senior Associate in the Employment and HR Services team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters. Reporting to the Department Head, your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on:
    • Unfair dismissal claims
    • Discrimination claims
    • TUPE transfers
    • Business restructuring/redundancies
    • Settlement agreements
    • Company policies and procedures
    • Dismissals and contractual issues
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Drafting HR policies and procedures
  • Delivering seminars and training
  • Contributing to marketing efforts
  • Building relationships with clients

Skills & Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • At least 3 years PQE as an Employment Solicitor
  • Excellent advocacy skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain exceptional client relationships
  • Forward-thinking mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality work
