About the Role

This firm are expanding their planning team and seeking an accomplished Planning Lawyer with at least four years of post-qualification experience at a respected UK law firm. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects alongside an established team of planning law experts, contributing to the delivery of cutting-edge legal solutions in a dynamic growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advisory and Legal Strategy: Provide expert advice on all aspects of planning law, including section 106 agreements, judicial reviews, planning appeals, and enforcement matters. Offer commercially sound guidance on compliance with planning legislation and statutory processes.
  • Drafting and Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate complex planning agreements, compulsory purchase orders, and other statutory instruments, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client goals.
  • Major Projects: Support and lead significant projects, such as large-scale residential developments, renewable energy projects, infrastructure schemes, and urban regeneration initiatives.
  • Client-Centric Solutions: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering tailored, results-driven advice that meets both legal and commercial objectives.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with internal teams across the firm, contributing to multidisciplinary projects and fostering knowledge development within the team.
  • Innovation and Technology: Explore and implement legal technology solutions to enhance service delivery, improve efficiency, and streamline workflows.

About You

  • Proven Expertise: A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in planning law, with a track record of managing complex planning agreements and advising on high-profile projects.
