What the Transport Service Manager will will be doing
The ideal Transport Services Manager will will be responsible for

* The safety, welfare and well-being of the Transport team

* The provision and maintenance of 1500 company vehicles in line with manufacturers and regulatory guidelines or adapted practices as required

* Provide information and guidance to HGV Managers to ensure on-going compliance with relevant legislation

* Manage systems such as vehicle tracking, drivers hours, MID, OCRS and Operator Licence administration, SAP and Assure (H&S management system)

What the successful Transport Services Manager will bring to the team
This role is suitable for someone who has

  • IOSH Managing Safely and Qualified Transport Manager is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of all relevant transport and H&S legislation.
  • Experience in contract management and transport management with expert knowledge of transport regulatory frameworks and procedures (DVSA as well as relevant safety legislation including LOLER, PSSR and PUWER regulations
