The Role
We are seeking a talented Design Coordinator to join our clients growing team. This pivotal role involves managing the design process for large commercial projectsin Cardiff, ensuring designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, driving efficiency and ensuring seamless project execution. Time will be spent on site and in the head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project completion.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure project requirements are met.
- Review and manage design information, identifying and resolving design-related issues.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building regulations, standards, and contract specifications.
- Monitor design progress against project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all design elements.
- Assist in value engineering exercises to optimise project efficiency.
- Support bid teams with design input during tender stages.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Design Coordinator role, preferably within a contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction design processes and building regulations.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Relevant qualifications in construction, architecture, or engineering.
