Assistant Project Manager (Electrical Engineering)
Location: Cardiff Area
Rate: 300 - 350 per day (Outside IR35)

Our client is a well-established engineering company currently working on a large-scale project in the Cardiff area. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager with an electrical bias to join their team on a subcontractor basis, offering a competitive daily rate of 300 - 350, Outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in delivering the electrical aspects of the project within the set timeframes and budget.
  • Oversee subcontractors, ensuring all work meets project specifications and complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including design teams, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  • Contribute to project reporting, providing technical input as required.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, ideally within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a similar support role.
  • Strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage subcontractors.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management or electrical engineering would be an advantage.
