Manpower is recruiting a Clerical Support Officer on behalf of our public sector client.

Location: Llanishen, Cardiff

Contract: Temporary, duration 3 months.

Hours: Full time. Monday to Friday 08:45 - 17:45

Hourly rate: 12.08

Start date: Immediate subject to satisfactory references and DBS check.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Office Procedures & Clerical Duties:

  • Maintain efficient office procedures including electronic file management, filing, post logging, and ensuring a tidy working environment.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as photocopying and scanning.
  • Ensure goods are received and processed correctly, including completion of paperwork and proper storage, with a focus on controlled goods.
  • Manage office waste and maintain client/participant confidentiality.

Specific Tasks:

  • Clear backlog of document scanning with a keen eye for detail.
  • Handle both electronic and hard copy filing.
  • Manage visitor entry, check courier deliveries, and direct incoming deliveries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Verify scanned materials for accuracy and correct scanning.
  • Package results sheets and reports for Weqas participants.
  • Prepare and send mailshots to participants.
  • Assist with packing and distribution of literature and results sheets.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Professional, presentable, and friendly demeanour suitable for receptionist duties.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, with experience in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
