Position: Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Officer
Location: Cardiff
Hours: 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 9:00 - 17:00
Contract: 3- 6 months with a view to extend

We are currently working with a Local Authority in Cardiff to appoint an experienced Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Officer to join their Commissioning Team!

This role is central to delivering high-quality, externally commissioned services to support children, young people, and families involved with Cardiff Children's Services. You'll play a key part in implementing the Children's Services Commissioning Strategy: Right Home, Right Support, aimed at creating meaningful outcomes and raising standards for Cardiff's young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Monitoring: Regularly assess and improve the quality of commissioned services, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local providers, market stakeholders, and external agencies to foster a supportive network for service enhancement.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage analytical skills to assess service performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-effective solutions.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage and monitor contracts, ensuring compliance with council and sector requirements to maintain service excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in commissioning, procurement, and contract management, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and engagement skills to support strategic decision-making and collaboration with partners.
