As a Senior OT, you will work closely with Therapy Assistants and the Multi-Disciplinary Team to deliver a range of group and one-to-one occupational, therapeutic, and recreational activities. Your work will take place across various wards, hospital grounds, and in the community. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide in-depth support to fewer patients, enabling you to deliver high-quality, individualised care.The role involves leading a therapy team, managing service provision across different areas, and providing supervision to junior staff. You will also be involved in assessing, intervening, and evaluating patients' progress in alignment with the Multi-Disciplinary Team care plans.About the ServiceThe service provides bespoke treatment packages across multiple wards for patients with complex mental health needs. The environment is designed to promote independence and recovery, and features various facilities such as secure gardens, a gym, sensory and social areas, and more. A multi-disciplinary team provides support to patients on their journey to recovery.Key Responsibilities* Deliver therapeutic interventions that motivate and engage patients in improving their occupational skills and mental well-being.* Support reducing restrictive interventions.* Maintain high-quality clinical notes and records.* Contribute to department meetings and engage in supervision activities.* Plan and manage time effectively to ensure service delivery meets patients' needs.Qualifications and Experience* A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, with current registration with the HCPC.* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly with patients with mental health conditions or challenging behaviours, is desirable.* A qualification in Sensory Integration Training is desirable, but not essential.
