A reputable college in Cardiff is seeking a Lecturer in Hair, Make Up & Special Effects to join their team on a temporary basis. This role involves covering a Level 3 class and requires a dedicated professional who can deliver high-quality teaching and inspire students with creative techniques and industry knowledge.
Day-to-day of the role:- Delivering structured lessons to Level 3 students in Hair, Make Up & Special Effects.
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials that cater to a range of learning styles.
- Providing practical demonstrations and guiding students through hands-on practice.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed within the classroom and workshop areas.
- Working hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 am to 4 pm.
- A Level 3 qualification or above in Hair or Make Up.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong practical skills and up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in Hair, Make Up & Special Effects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
