Pertemps is partnering with Royal Mail to recruit Collection Drivers in Cardiff due to increased demand, with the role starting on 18/11/2024.
The position involves collecting parcels and mail on a dedicated route, with an hourly rate of £13.37 PAYE for shifts from 2pm to approximately 6pm-7pm, Monday to Friday.
Candidates should be upbeat, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team, with a strong sense of community.
While some previous experience in a customer-facing or delivery role is ideal, it is not essential, and a full DBS security check will be required.
Applicants must hold a full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points and no IN/DD/DR/CD endorsements.

You will be responsible for collection of parcels and mail by driving on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service.
Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office. Our Postal Delivery Drivers will be provided with an induction.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.
You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors.
You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.

Previous Experience

Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.

Driving licence requirements

A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
