A small but dynamic construction consultancy based in Cardiff is seeking a dedicated CDM Advisor to join their team. This consultancy is known for delivering personalised, high-quality services across a variety of sectors. They are looking for an experienced and proactive CDM Advisor who can ensure compliance with CDM regulations and promote health and safety best practices across multiple projects.

The CDM Advisor Role

As the CDM Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients, design teams, and contractors. You will play a key role in ensuring that all projects comply with CDM 2015 regulations and that health and safety considerations are integrated into the design and construction phases. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a close-knit team in Cardiff, on a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on CDM 2015 regulations to clients and project teams.
  • Prepare and review pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and help identify hazard elimination strategies.
  • Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Deliver CDM and health and safety training to clients and internal teams.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure a seamless integration of health and safety into the project process.

The CDM Advisor

  • Degree in a construction-related field.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership with IOSH or APS is desirable.
  • Proven experience in providing CDM advisory services and health and safety consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools.
