Opportunity to join a leading Insurer within an established Customer and Conduct team reporting directly to the Head of regulatory Advice.  A key role within the team, you will be responsible for leading the Regulatory Advice team in providing clear, pragmatic, and timely advice both in terms of day-to-day activities and for any change initiatives.

In addition, you will be responsible for analysing regulatory change and supporting impacted business areas in effective implementation and embedding.

With a head office located in South Wales, the business operate a very flexible hybrid working pattern and are looking for 1 or 2 days in the office each month.

Role responsibilities:

Support the design and implementation of an effective framework to ensure day-to-day activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies & standards

Ensure that effective regulatory advice is provided for change activities such as product developments and other projects

Be a key contributor to the effectiveness of governance across the whole business

Support the SMCR framework for our entities so that the firms and its SMFs are fully supported in meeting their individual responsibilities

Effectively manage your own risks and controls whilst overseeing and challenging the business on their risks and controls

Personal Attributes & Experience:

SME-level knowledge of the FCA sourcebook and associated guidance

An understanding of how the wider regulatory environment operates and the FCA's priorities and areas of focus

Excellent written and oral communication skills, alongside the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and experience dealing with regulators

Experience of leading a diverse team

Problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and comfortable analysing data

Ability to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise workload effectively
