BACKGROUND
- As a Lead Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high risk products, projects and services.
- You will have a high standard of previous experience managing a range of products, projects and services and have responsibility and accountability as the main point of escalation.
- The Lead Delivery Manager will have strong communication skills and be able to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- You will be required to coach and mentor senior delivery managers and other team members
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expertly coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices and act as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team.
- Create or tailor new ways of working and constantly innovate.
- Coach, train and mentor other teams as the central point of expertise.
- Apply highly developed specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures and practices, underpinning theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience.
- Line manages the scrum team.
- Be a leading member of the delivery community of practice; coaching, training and mentor others and sharing expert knowledge and best practice
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Advanced commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and mentorship skills.
- Strong negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills to maintain delivery momentum and address or resolve issues and risks promptly.
- Expert life cycle management skills. Manages products or services from planning stages through to delivery and ongoing iteration.
- Excellent people skills and demonstrable emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely document plans and deliverables. Able to navigate and negotiate through complex or contentious situations.
- Strong leadership and management skills; planning and organisation of several complex activities or programmes, which require the formulation and adjustment of plans.
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
The initial duration of this agreement will be for six (6) months with a potential to extend by mutual agreement for a further six (6) months.
