We are the independent voice for water consumers in England and Wales. Since 2005, we have helped thousands of consumers resolve complaints against their water company, while providing free advice and support. All of our work is informed by extensive research, which we use to champion the interests of consumers and influence water companies, governments and regulators.
There has never been so much public attention on the water sector. This presents a massive opportunity for CCW as one of the few trusted voices in the industry. CCW is a small organisation. We want to be - and we are - a powerful campaigning organisation that punches above our size. This is where our Comms team comes in - by getting our voice out to the public, via the media, and speaking to powerful stakeholders in the industry and in politics.
We’re looking for someone who can carry out a range of everyday communications team duties. In addition to those, we particularly need someone who can deal with local and regional media, proactively and reactively; as well as communicate with and engage elected members in England and Wales. In addition, they’ll lead on a major area of our campaigning work - designing and delivering messages, channels and assets including e.g. generating media coverage, social media activity, podcasts, blogs, working with partners and contributing to events.
In exchange, we’ll offer you the chance to work in a rapidly changing, dynamic organisation with a fantastic range of benefits available including Civil Service Pension, Blended Working, Flexible Working Options, Travel Season Ticket Loans, Free access to an Employee Assistance Programme, discounts and offers available via our STaR benefits platform and much, much more.
Starting salary of £32,847 - £35,250
