We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in Cardiff to appoint an experienced Commissioning Officer to join their Children Services Team!
As a Commissioning Officer, you will be expected to support the lead commissioners and outcome managers in achieving the expected and desired outcomes in given areas through effective commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract management, including drafting, monitoring, and addressing service delivery requests.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop and execute commissioning plans.
- Review, interpret, and advise on commissioning and contract queries in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with service providers to support their ability to meet the sector's evolving needs.
- Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in commissioning, procurement, and contract writing, monitoring, and management (public sector experience preferred).
