Our client is a large, Tier 1 main contarctor with a strong regional base in Cardiff and South Wales generally, They carry out a diverse range of projects up to 100 million pounds and have a very healthy pipelinbe of work.

Due t othe award of a very large major project regionally they have approached us with the requirement to recruit a Quality Manager on a permanent basis. Working primarily on site near Cardiff, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Promote a Right First Time approach to project delivery, and the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle of continuous improvement.
  • Review and update the Project Quality Risk assessment and ensure quality risks are communicated / incorporated into the specific package control measures.
  • To ensure that Quality Risks are properly managed for the project.
  • Support project team deliver the requirements of the Quality Management Plan and ensure compliance to Quality Management System.
  • Highlight key quality risks, issue NCRs and stop works (QSOWN) if required.
  • Share Knowledge and experience with the wider business to assist with increasing the level of quality of delivered product.
  • Ensure the Company Health and Safety safe working practices are observed at all times.
  • Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • To follow the Company's Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post.
  • Design Coordination/Package Procurement
  • Quality Delivery
  • Reporting/Audits
  • Providing quality induction training to new staff

Candidates will come from the following background and with the following skills and experience:

  • Have a formal qualification in building or construction.
  • Experience in a similar, Quality biased role.
  • Have general building or civils experience.
  • Experience in planning for Identification/Management of Risk.
  • Have a recognized knowledge of building techniques and best practice.
  • I.T. skills.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • CSCS registration / card
