Your new companyYour new company has been in business for over 50 years, developing, building and maintaining the very best construction projects across the UK across a wide variety of sectors. Due to the natural growth of the company, they are recruiting an Assistant QS to join their Cardiff team. Your new role

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Support the senior QS in managing project finances, including tracking costs and ensuring budget adherence.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather necessary information and resolve any issues.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status and financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project documentation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Tier 1 Main Contractor working history.
  • High rise project experience is preferred.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant QS software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
