Our client, a distinguished participant in the HTP sector, is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This contract role focuses on highway projects and requires a proactive approach to cost management and project deliverables.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing cost estimates and budgets for highway projects
  • Manage a team of 2 Quantity Surveyors
  • Conducting cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assessing and valuing contractors' work and processing payments
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Negotiating contracts and work schedules with contractors and suppliers
  • Conducting feasibility studies and risk management assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the highway sector
  • Strong cost estimation and budget management skills
  • Knowledge of tender processes and contract law
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of risk management principles and practices
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or a related field
