Our client, a distinguished participant in the HTP sector, is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This contract role focuses on highway projects and requires a proactive approach to cost management and project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and managing cost estimates and budgets for highway projects
- Manage a team of 2 Quantity Surveyors
- Conducting cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Assessing and valuing contractors' work and processing payments
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Negotiating contracts and work schedules with contractors and suppliers
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk management assessments
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the highway sector
- Strong cost estimation and budget management skills
- Knowledge of tender processes and contract law
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Understanding of risk management principles and practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying or a related field
