Our client, a prominent player in the HTP sector, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial in managing and controlling costs, maximising value, minimising liabilities, and maintaining quality and safety standards across various highway contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial expertise to contracts, including the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and performance data
- Support the authorisation and submission of project variations
- Authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, and orders for materials and plant
- Negotiate with subcontractor supply chains to achieve the best value
- Implement company policies related to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) and risk management
Job Requirements:
- Relevant degree or HNC qualifications
- Experience in a similar role within the Construction/Highways Industry
- Experience working on major projects
- Experience with tier 1 contractors
- NEC experience
