Brook Street are working with a long standing client, who are looking to appoint a Student Co-ordinator on a temporary basis. Please note, you will be required to work some weekends and evenings. A driving license is also a desirable.

Job Type: Temporary, Ongoing

Hours: 9am- 9:30pm Monday-Saturday on a rota basis

Pay: £13.78 per hour

Location: Central Cardiff

Job Duties:

  • Establish connections with residents through regular visits and introductions, promoting the importance of community engagement.
  • Assist newcomers by providing advice, guidance, and resources to facilitate their transition.
  • Investigate specific challenges within the program and create recommendation reports to address these issues.
  • Ensure that the program is delivered flexibly and proactively, adapting to meet the evolving needs of students.
  • Work with key contacts, including schools and external organisations, to recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Oversee assistants and a student working group while developing and delivering training sessions for staff and students.
  • Raise awareness of health and well-being issues affecting students and support conflict resolution by addressing behavioural concerns early on.
  • Provide first-response advice in urgent situations and liaise with relevant services as needed.
  • Perform various administrative tasks to assist the department effectively.
