Morson are partnering with an ambitious SME organisation that are looking to appoint a Head of Sales. As Head of Sales, you will lead a team of Business Development Representatives, Business Development Managers and Management team, working closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute the sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets for the business. This role will work flexibly with hybrid working but candidates must be able to travel to Cardiff 2 days per week.

This Head of Sales role will report to the Commercial Director and play in crucial part in leading & driving overall sales performance in this business area. This role would suit an experienced Sales Manager / Head of Sales that has a background of leading sales functions that are targeting and selling to procurement / via frameworks. Ideal candidate backgrounds would be someone from a businesses that has operated in the Saas, Health & Safety, Compliance, or Construction sectors.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of sales professionals and subject matter experts, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, ensuring they meet and exceed individual and team quotas.

• Develop and implement sales enablement strategies to drive a high performance sales culture within the Field Sales teams.

• Implement best practises in lead generation, qualification and deal closure. Improving conversion and deal conversion alongside customer satisfaction

• Track targets, build forecasts and work on hiring quotas

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and market dynamics, including competitor and price benchmarking to inform strategic decision-making.

• Continually review and prioritise key verticals, segments and regions for business development

• Identify and cultivate relationships with key industry players

• Support the team with preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals

This Head of Sales role will work as part of the commercial leadership team and foster close relationships across marketing, accounts & operations. Our client is looking for an experienced sales leader who can inspire & motivate the sales team to drive exceptional commercial performance.

This role will be offered on a full time, permanent basis and our client embraces hybrid working with this role averaging 2 days per week in the office which is in Cardiff.
