A highly regarded and award-winning legal practice with multiple offices across South Wales is seeking anFinance Assistantto join their growing finance team. The position is based in their Cardiff office, and the successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Control:
- Proactively manage client debt collection via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Resolve account issues or disputes promptly and professionally.
- Take appropriate steps for defaulting accounts, adhering to company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client account records, ensuring all actions are documented.
General Administration:
- Prepare and send client statements via email.
- Process card payments for invoices and account balances.
- Handle invoice inquiries and monitor client accounts for incoming payments.
- Assist with posting disbursements and support month-end billing activities.
- Record invoices to the purchase ledger.
- Coordinate weekly supplier payment runs.
- Assist with credit card expense allocations and employee expense reimbursements.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience working in an accounts or finance environment or graduate in finance/accountancy looking for your first role.
- Ideally, prior experience with client account management.
- Strong organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on efficiency.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
