Shredder Plant Supervisor

Up to £42,000 salary + 5% bonus
Youll be responsible for the daily running of the of the Hammer mill. This will include supervising the shift activities of the plant, and non-ferrous lines. Youll train and mentor Yard Operatives, Material Handler Drivers and Metal Pickers on site to ensure work is carried out safely and effectively.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Supervise and manage the team and coordinate daily workload, review as and when needed.
- Implement procedures related to Scrap Processing Operations and ensure that the team adheres to them.
- Ensure the areas are operating to the appropriate safety standards making sure that all safety and operational issues/topics are reported and dealt with
The yard has plenty going on so youll need to be organised with a hands on approach. Youll have previous knowledge of scrap metals, ideally youll have Non-Ferrous metals experience. Whats most important to us is that you have previously supervised and trained colleague as this will be an integral part of the role.
Were a recycling company. We recycle scrap metal into reinforcing steel which is used in infrastructure projects such as Wembley Stadium and The Shard. Without scrap metal we couldnt function, which is why your role is so important to what we do.
