We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Cardiff on a long-term, basis. This busy school in Cardiff was rated EXCELLENT in its most recent ESTYN inspection with particular mention to how well students engaged with teachers and enjoyed lessons. With staff moral generally high and low turn over student/teacher relationships are strong. This fantastic facility provide plenty of extra-curricular for their students in a range of areas. The Art Teacher would join a strong team of teachers who pride themselves on collaborating and creating engaging lessons of a high standard.Ā
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative art lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression among students through various art forms and techniques.
- Assess and evaluate studentsā progress and provide constructive feedback to foster their artistic skills.
- Manage classroom resources and setup to create an inspiring and safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate art into other key areas of the school curriculum.
- Participate in school events and exhibitions showcasing students' artwork.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
- Experience teaching Art in a secondary school environment.
- Strong knowledge of art history and various art mediums.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to enjoy and improve their confidence in art.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A commitment to professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field of art education.
