We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher with a specialism in Biology to join our team on a long-term basis. This large school based in Cardiff prides itself on fantastic facilities and a strong connection between student and teachers. On its most recent ESTYN inspection they achieved an EXCELLENT in all areas, noting that specifically how well pupils respond to teaching and Outstanding and supportive leadership. Staff moral is generally high and turn over is low.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging biology lessons to students up to GCSE level.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their highest potential.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
  • Collaborate with other science department members to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in biology, with experience teaching up to GCSE level.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
