??????This role will be teaching KS3 DT, but also KS4 for GCSE level. This will be for an 11-19 mixed comprehensive school serving the heart of Cardiff, due to be rebuilt shortly boasting state of the art new buildings and facilities. Their last school inspection was rated as GOOD by Estyn, with some area's of OUTSTANDING. This a very multicultural school with full of diversity and inclusion for all, and a school with a well held reputation by the council, being its first choice for pupil deployment for those entering the country.

Day-to-day of the role:- Design and deliver engaging lessons in Graphics and Product Design, incorporating the use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Develop course materials that cater to the needs of all students, ensuring a stimulating educational environment.
- Supervise and instruct students in the use of design software and workshop equipment, maintaining a safe and organised workspace.
- Confidently work with workshop equipment and supervise students during practical sessions to ensure safety and effective learning.
- Assess and evaluate the progress and achievements of students, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into the curriculum.
- Participate in and contribute to departmental and school-wide professional development sessions.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other relevant design software.
- Either a DATA Certificate, similar Health and Safety training, or demonstrable ability to work safely within a workshop environment.
- Experience in teaching Graphics and Product Design at a secondary educational level.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in a creative and inclusive manner.
- Confidence in working with workshop equipment and supervising students during practical sessions.
