PE teacher - Cardiff- January start

Prospero Teaching are looking for a PE Teacher for a Secondary school based in Cardiff. The role will be full time for the first half of the Spring term until February half term, with the possibility of it being extended until the end of term at Easter. You will be expected to teach classes across both key stage 3 & 4. It would be advantageous if you have previously ran a sports team, such as football, cricket or rugby in a UK secondary school.

The school has a small, yet very supportive & welcoming PE department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year.

The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers, all applicants will be expected to hold qualified teacher status (QTS).

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

QTS, QTLS or equivalent

Minimum 1 year PE teaching experience in the UK

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)

Up to date Prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)

Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
