We are seeking a driven and committed Welsh Teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Cardiff! This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about helping students excel in their Welsh language skills and achieve academic success.

About the role:
As a Welsh teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons that foster a love for the Welsh language. You will help students improve their language proficiency, including speaking, reading, and writing skills. Your role will involve creating a positive learning environment that promotes active participation, cultural appreciation, and a deep understanding of the Welsh language. Additionally, you will support students in preparing for their assessments and exams, ensuring they are well-equipped to achieve strong results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Welsh language lessons to students across various year groups.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their language development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages all students to participate and enhance their Welsh skills.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular activities and language-related events.
- Stay current with the Welsh language curriculum and employ diverse teaching methods to cater to students' varying abilities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Welsh at the secondary level is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to student achievement and language development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in learning the Welsh language.
