Role Overview:
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the delivery of lessons and assist students in their learning. Your role will include providing tailored support to students with a variety of learning needs, ensuring that they are engaged, challenged, and able to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help to manage classroom behavior, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Foster relationships with students to build confidence, motivation, and academic success.
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support students in extracurricular activities and school events as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
  • Previous experience working within a school enviroment , either as a teaching assistant or in a related field (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is an advantage but not essential.
