In your new role as a Security Officer, you will be working alongside the operational security team. You will have many different responsibilities, which include escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison, visitor and toolkit checks, main gate duties and vehicle searches. You will also ensure the safety of visitors when assisting them around the site, while making sure no unauthorised items enter the prison. Shift pattern: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (1-hour break). 40 hours per week.
Rate: £12.00 per hour, plus holidays
It is a long-term temporary contract on an ongoing basis.
What you'll need to succeed Your new role does not require any experience as full training is provided. However, a military or security background would be beneficial. You will need to have strong communication skills, be security-conscious, and practical. In order to be successful, you'll also need to pass a security clearance procedure due to the nature of the role and provide 2 references minimum, ideally the two most recent employers.
