Shape A Life have recently partnered with a SEN school in Pentyrch, Cardiff who are looking for Learning Support Workers to work alongside teachers in the classroom. This school educates young people with Autism, SEMH and complex learning needs between the ages of 3-19.

- £480 - £500 per week - term time only Monday to Friday
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting leaders of learning in setting up and tidying away teaching resources and/or escorting learners to their next location
- Support learners individual communication needs Support learners individual therapy needs in accordance with Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy/Assistive Technologists guidance recording interactions on Nourish
- Implement students Positive Behavior Support Plans in accordance with learner protocols
- Support leaders of learning to prepare and implement risk assessments and community trip and visit plans activity off campus
- Take ownership for the layout, resourcing and safety of a designated teaching room, area or resource to ensure that it is kept tidy, safe and fully resourced.
- To work as part of the multidisciplinary team
You will need:
- Passion, enthusiasm patience and empathy to shape the next generation.
- An interest in SEN, education, social care
- 2:2 or above degree
- Have high expectations of teaching and learning.
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
- To be a positive role model
- Be keen to develop as a professional
