Your new companyWe are looking to recruiting personable, flexible and motivated senior domestic violence support workers to support our qualified staff with the delivery of care to our users. You will be involved in the care and meeting the psychological needs of a diverse group of service users with varying degrees of mental issues. You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. It is also important that you work well in a team as you will work alongside staff from other professions, as well as supporting a team of IDVA's and reporting into management. Your new roleWorking closely with the users to manage their needs on a caseload basis. This will involve liaising with other agencies to help the people who are being referred to the service who need emotional support and guidance to achieve a positive outcome. You will also be responsible for supporting a team of IDVA's, managing referrals and being the link person between management and IDVA's. This is a fast-paced role, where you will be completing admin duties, going out into the community to meet with new referrals and your case load, as well as working with other charities. Typical shifts will be from Monday - Friday. You will be working with individuals who are victims of domestic and sexual abuse. What you'll need to succeedYou will need previous experience of working with victims of domestic & sexual abuse or display suitable transferrable skills that will enable you to give the people you support, the best standard of care and support. You will need to have good knowledge of legislation and domestic abuse support strategies to provide the best level of support. Desirable criteria would be experienced in leading a team within a domestic abuse service previously of the time, along with an IDVA or QCF qualification. Please note. Qualifications are desirable. However, driving is essential for this position. What you'll get in return
