About the Role:Cardiff Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Agency Social Work Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support vulnerable individuals and families across the city, working as part of our dynamic Social Services team. You will contribute to improving the lives of residents by assisting qualified social workers in delivering high-quality support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist social workers in assessing the needs of service users and developing support plans.
  • Provide direct support to individuals and families, promoting independence and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with other professionals, agencies, and community resources to coordinate services.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
  • Carry out visits and attend meetings as directed by the supervising social worker.
  • Help service users navigate available support systems and access appropriate resources.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a social care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
