About the Role: Our client, Cardiff Council, is seeking a committed and proactive Social Work Assistant to join their Children's Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and families, working alongside social workers to deliver high-quality care and intervention services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist social workers in managing cases involving children in need, child protection, and looked-after children.

  • Support children and families by providing practical assistance and guidance.

  • Conduct home visits, attend meetings, and liaise with partner agencies.

  • Assist in assessments and contribute to care plans to improve child welfare.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.

  • Help to coordinate services and resources for children and families.

  • Support the delivery of intervention plans to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements:
