Location: North Wales
Salary: 24,500 - 28,000
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
DBS Check: This role is subject to a DBS check, which will be funded by the company.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Health & Social Care Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality training and assessment to learners, supporting them in achieving their qualifications while maintaining compliance with awarding body and company standards.
This position requires A1 or an equivalent assessor qualification and occupational competence in Health & Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Assessment:
- Deliver engaging and structured training to assigned learners, ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Travel within North Wales to workplaces to conduct assessments.
- Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for learners.
- Assess and mark workplace evidence to meet qualification requirements.
- Support learners throughout their training journey, offering additional guidance where necessary.
- Facilitate tests in line with awarding body requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievements.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure IV systems and Award Body records are maintained in line with codes of practice.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of learner documentation, providing a true record of progress.
- Uphold company policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.
- Promote a positive learning environment, ensuring a high standard of training delivery.
Employer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for business growth within employer partnerships.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience in delivering Health & Social Care training and assessment.
- Occupational competence within the Health & Social Care sector.
- Work-based learning and assessment experience.
- Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- IT literate with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent.
Desirable:
- CAVA, TAQA, or equivalent assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience delivering apprenticeships in Health & Social Care.
- Knowledge of Essential Skills Wales (ESW) requirements.
- Fluent in Welsh.
- Experience working with public-funded training schemes.
