We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the effective selection, implementation, development, and support of business-critical IT systems across the organisation. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the full end-to-end implementation and integration of critical business software solutions, both internally developed and externally sourced.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage in full lifecycle application and website development from understanding business requirements to turning these into workable solutions.
  • Design, code, test, and debug critical business and web applications using various programming languages.
  • Develop and evolve the organisation’s website in alignment with the organisational strategy.
  • Integrate systems to streamline business processes and enhance functionality.
  • Research, identify, and evaluate new technologies for potential implementation.
  • Maintain and support business-critical database systems.
  • Create, review, and maintain technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain internally developed software solutions, observing industry coding standards.
  • Continuously review and tune bespoke web-based systems and content management systems.
  • Develop and integrate solutions with the CRM system and key business systems as required.
  • Provide high-level support and troubleshooting for existing business systems and sites.
  • Lead projects from requirements gathering to implementation, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in software engineering, with a strong background in developing and managing business-critical IT systems.
  • Proficiency in various programming languages and technical tools necessary for web and application development.
  • Experience in systems integration and database management.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of leading end-to-end delivery of IT projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and system analysis.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with occasional travel and extended days as required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various internal teams and third-party suppliers.
