Location – Cardiff

Salary - £12.10 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-2pm

This is an excellent opportunity for a Stores Person to join an established engineering company. This market leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace and defence.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage works order movement. The successful candidate should have good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and team working skills. They should be able to work as part of a team to share ideas and support continuous improvement activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manual handling function ensuring product is transferred and monitor between machining cells by designated route to a consistent pace
  • To deliver items to required members of staff or departments
  • Ensuring that all activities are fully compliant with current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workplace following 5S principles
  • Interacting with material controllers and production staff on daily priorities and issues
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Recent experience in warehousing or similar will be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills
