HMP CARDIFF - CLEANING OPERATIVE

Your new roleIn your new role as a cleaning operative, you will be carrying out general cleaning duties:

  • Vacuuming
  • Mopping
  • Emptying bins
  • Cleaning surfaces etc.

Shift pattern (full-time, 39 hours):

  • Monday - Thursday 6.30am - 3pm, 1-hour break.
  • Friday 6.30am - 1pm
  • You will be required to work every third weekend of the month (6am-12pm, Sat & Sun).Your hourly rates are as follows: Standard: £12.00 p/ hour, plus holidays.

What you'll need to succeedYour new role does not require any experience as full training is provided. However, experience would be beneficial. A good understanding of chemical colour coding. You will need to have strong communication skills, be hard-working, and practical. In order to be successful, you'll also need to pass a security clearance procedure due to the nature of the role and provide satisfactory references that cover the last 3 years of employment.What you'll get in returnYou will receive, on the job, paid training.
