Are you a Vehicle Technician looking to work for an industry leader in manufacturing and retail who has branches across the UK you will based in Cardiff? Your main function will be fitting, servicing and repairing with the Workshop with some service visits to customer sites, with a focus on customer service. The hours 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with a Salary of up to £27,000.

Workshop Technician Duties:

  • Complete service and repair job sheets with a high level of quality and detail
  • Fitting, servicing and repairing.
  • Carrying out repairs and replacing damaged parts.
  • Carry out inspections in the workshop and advise all defects to the Workshop Supervisor before commencing with any repairs or booking out any parts.
  • Update the Workshop Supervisor of any further work or parts required immediately
  • You may also be required to work offsite to visit customer sites.
  • Internal and external call handling, assist with Customer enquiries and taking bookings for the Workshop.
  • Follow established systems and processes with precision
  • Work to company Health and Safety, procedures and protocols.
  • Some moving of vehicles will be required on a day-to-day basis,
  • Operate good housekeeping.

Workshop Technician Requirements:

  • As a minimum you will ideally be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or a City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or have equivalent work-based experience.
  • Required must hold a clean UK Driving License.
  • Strong communication both written and verbal, able to build relationships, understanding of working in fast paced environments with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change.
  • Team player, hands on approach with a positive attitude to learning and can work collaboratively.
  • Exhibit a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, crucial for the role's technical demands.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure, you handle challenging situations with ease, maintaining productivity and quality.
